For more than 30 years I have represented persons in need of legal assistance with criminal cases, juvenile court matters and Department of Children & Families (DCF) investigations.
In criminal cases, I personally handle everything from start to finish - arrest through disposition. I understand the laws inside and out and am familiar with each and every pretrial diversionary program available to my clients. I do everything possible to get charges dropped and keep a person's record clean. I will make a very difficult and stressful situation much easier for my client to understand and deal with.
In juvenile and DCF cases, I have specific knowledge regarding Connecticut's laws of Neglect and Abuse. Since 1989, I have represented parties in cases involving anything from child removal due to a Court Order of Temporary Custody (OTC) to parents wrongfully accused of neglect or being unable to care for their children. A lot of the stress surrounding a DCF investigation or action can be relieved through taking the proper steps with effective counsel.
My experience in the Juvenile Courts dates back to 1989. I have tried cases involving charges of Neglect as well as DCF Petitions to Terminate Parental Rights. I have been personally involved in cases affected by CT's Safe Haven Law as I had been called upon to represent a newborn left in a basket on a doorstep. I have tried cases involving allegations of Munchausen Syndrome and heart-breaking allegations of Shaken Baby Syndrome. I am a professional and effective advocate for so many parents in need of a voice in the courtroom.
In addition, I am currently assisting Special Immigrant Juveniles (SIJs) with their guardianship hearings before the various Probate Courts in Fairfield County.

Representing Parents when dealing with Connecticut's Department of Children & Families (DCF). Such matters include Investigations, Family Assessments, DCF Substantiations of Abuse & Neglect and on-going DCF interventions. They involve DCF Social Workers and other professionals.
